Poster design

I’ve been asked to create a poster based on some drawings on paper. I’ve not done anything quite like this before as it was requested that the finished result look similar to the original doodle-style. I had some problems with InDesign as I wanted to be able to write a paragraph following a path but could only do one line of text. I contacted Adobe via Twitter but they had no solutions so I ended up doing multiple paths for each line of text which was very time-consuming.

I also had problems sending it to PDF. It worked the first time but after some minor edits I kept getting an error message. It was very frustrating and I couldn’t figure out why it was doing that. I can’t remember what setting I changed but I did manage it eventually. Maybe I should have done it in Illustrator rather than InDesign.

If anyone knows either how to do paragraphs following a path or maybe why I was having the PDF problem then please let me know!

Anyway, I’m very pleased with the finished result. There’s a lot of information featured but hopefully it’s clear and attractive for the reader.
