I’m currently working on a few projects and I’m really excited about them all because they’re so different.
I’ve been asked to design the cover of a book based on football. It’s not something I’ve done before but it’s really interesting looking at other covers to see what works and what looks good. I’ve done a mock-up but (for the moment) it’s only going to be available as an e-book so I need to go back to the drawing board as there won’t be a back cover. So I need to make the front look as good as possible to really sell it. But, don’t judge a book by its cover!
I’m also working on an internal sales training package for the 4C Group. This is really interesting because it’s all based around travel so I’ve created a passport, flight tickets, a poster and log book-style pages. I liked researching different airline logos and even looking up Latin phrases to put on a crest for the cover of the passport.
Lastly, as I’m climbing Kilimanjaro for Great Ormond Street Hospital in October, I’ve been asked to create a website for the team. It’s fairly basic in terms of design because it needs to be done quickly and cheaply but I like the result so far. I’ve used one of the free templates for simplicity and speed but I think it looks really good even if I do say so myself. We’re aiming for launch at the beginning of May so I’ll post a link once it’s all live.
